You'll then join the park's experienced guides and trackers before entering the mist-covered montane forest in search of your assigned gorilla family. The trek can take several hours depending on the location and movements of the gorillas.

Once you locate the family, you'll have a precious hour to observe these extraordinary primates as they feed, rest, groom, and interact naturally within their forest habitat. After the trek, return to the park headquarters and transfer back to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. The remainder of the afternoon can be spent resting after the trek or exploring the Musanze area.
